Racine, WI – A Racine man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison and 15 years of extended supervision after being convicted of possessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM), authorities announced Wednesday.
According to the Racine County Sheriff’s Office, Judge Jessica Lynott sentenced Leroy Kolacinski, 64, on Tuesday for three counts of Possession of Child Pornography. The conviction stems from a lengthy investigation that began in January 2025, after Kolacinski’s electronic devices were found to contain CSAM depicting real victims.
Officials said Kolacinski was first arrested in January after investigators with the Sheriff’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) unit located illicit materials on four electronic devices. Detectives reported that the material included images and videos of a U.S. victim whose case has appeared in multiple criminal proceedings nationwide. The victim was first sexually abused by her father as a child in the early 2000s; her abuse was recorded and widely distributed online, according to court testimony cited by the Sheriff’s Office.
Following his arrest, Kolacinski was held on $150,000 bail. Prosecutors charged him with 13 counts of child pornography, but he ultimately pleaded guilty to three counts as part of a plea agreement, officials said. During sentencing, Judge Lynott also ordered Kolacinski to pay a $15,000 fine and $5,000 in restitution to the identified victim.
Sheriff Christopher Schmaling stated, “The Sheriff’s Office remains steadfast in our commitment to aggressively investigate these offenses, work closely with our DA’s Office, and advocate for lengthy prison sentences that reflect the seriousness of these horrific crimes.”
Authorities noted that Kolacinski previously served jail time for a 2010 conviction involving secretly photographing children at a theater performance. He also worked for years as a public accountant and held roles in education and community organizations.
Kolacinski will serve his sentence at a Wisconsin state correctional facility.
