Kenosha County, WI – Law enforcement responded to more than 470 calls for service and made dozens of arrests during the 2025 Country Thunder music festival in Kenosha County, where crowds gathered for one of Wisconsin’s largest annual music events.

According to a news release from the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday, deputies recorded a total of 15 criminal arrests or charges and issued 194 county traffic and ordinance citations during the multi-day festival. Offenses included disorderly conduct, domestic violence-related charges, drug possession, resisting arrest, and criminal trespass. Two individuals were allegedly arrested for possession of marijuana, while others allegedly faced charges for cocaine possession with intent to deliver, battery, and bail jumping.

Sheriff officials also noted 57 citations were issued for underage alcohol violations among those aged 17 to 20, along with 30 trespassing citations, 27 for failing to obey officer signs or signals, and 18 for allegedly resisting or obstructing an officer. Additional citations ranged from vandalism and lewd behavior to liquor law violations and possession of fireworks.

According to Lt. Daniel Ruth, public information officer, deputies increased uniformed patrols at the festival campgrounds and worked with the Kenosha Drug Operations Group (KDOG) to investigate alleged narcotics distribution. A significant drug arrest on Saturday, July 19, allegedly resulted in the seizure of more than 10 grams of cocaine, items of THC, and cash. The suspect, identified as a West Chicago, Illinois resident, was charged with multiple drug offenses and held on a $10,000 bond.

The Sheriff’s Office credited community tips and coordination with Country Thunder staff and other agencies for ensuring public safety during the event.
