According to the Door County Sheriff’s Office, deputies are searching for an older model blue Ford Escape, possibly a 2015 generation, that struck a person on Water Street in Ephraim on Tuesday at about 2:50 p.m. Investigators said the vehicle may have sustained visible damage to its front left fender.

The sheriff’s office reported that the driver did not remain at the scene following the crash. Deputies are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has information about the vehicle or its operator to come forward.

The SUV, pictured in a surveillance still released by authorities, is believed to still be in the area. The case has been assigned reference number #25-015635.
