La Crosse, Wisconsin – Storms could roll into La Crosse by mid-morning Friday, bringing heavy rain, thunder, and slick roads just in time for the midday commute. Southbound travelers on I-90 should prepare for reduced visibility and possible ponding by early afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service in La Crosse, the region faces a 70% chance of showers and thunderstorms between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday, with heavier rainfall possible through early evening. New rainfall totals could reach up to half an inch. Thunderstorms may continue into early Saturday morning before drier skies return later in the weekend.

Highs Friday will peak around 83°F, with light south winds. Friday night brings an 80% chance of rain, including possible thunderstorms after 1 a.m. Saturday’s weather looks calmer, with only a 40% chance of storms and a high near 82°F. Winds will shift west at 3 to 7 mph, offering some relief after Friday’s active skies.

Sunday will be a summer standout, with clear skies and a high near 84°F. Monday looks even warmer, topping out around 87°F under sunny skies.

Looking ahead, scattered showers may return Tuesday night into Wednesday with thunderstorm chances near 50%. Until then, enjoy the dry stretch and cooler evenings, but stay weather-aware, especially on Friday.
