Green Bay, WI – A flash flood warning has been issued for central Waupaca County, effective until 9:30 PM Friday, due to an imminent dam break on the Little Wolf River below the Manawa Dam. This alert, issued by emergency management and dam operators, highlights the urgent need for residents to move to higher ground immediately.

According to the US National Weather Service Green Bay, major flooding downstream from the Manawa Dam and Little Wolf River is expected. The potential for significant water flow and inundation poses a serious threat to the safety of those in the affected areas, particularly around Royalton and Northport.

The emergency alert, shared via social media at 12:37 PM, emphasizes that residents should avoid walking or driving through flood waters and be aware of their surroundings.
