Green Bay, WI – Residents in northeastern Wisconsin should brace for dangerously cold conditions this week as Arctic air sweeps through the region. Forecasters warn of subzero wind chills dropping to as low as -15° by Wednesday night, accompanied by increasing winds and the potential for snow.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Green Bay, temperatures will begin falling Tuesday, with northwesterly winds gusting up to 30 mph. This will create bitterly cold conditions that could be hazardous for those outdoors. A mix of light snow and flurries may add to travel difficulties late Tuesday into Wednesday.

The NWS urges residents to limit time outdoors, wear layered clothing, and bring pets indoors as the cold intensifies. Wind chill values could pose frostbite risks in under 30 minutes. Hazardous travel conditions, particularly in areas north of Highway 29, are expected during the midweek snowfalls.

Extended Forecast

• Tuesday: Cloudy with a high near 28°. A 40% chance of snow showers in the evening.

• Wednesday: High near 26°, partly cloudy, with blustery winds making it feel much colder.

• Thursday: Bitter cold, high of 13°, mostly sunny, but wind chills below zero persist.

• Friday: Mostly sunny and cold with a high near 26°.

Travelers and residents should monitor forecasts and winter weather advisories throughout the week. Emergency supplies and proper precautions are strongly advised.
