Deputies identified the driver as Jordan Gajewski, 38, of Edgar. Authorities said Gajewski appeared unsteady on his feet and swayed noticeably while speaking with deputies. He allegedly admitted to drinking beer and confirmed he had been at a bar earlier in the night. He was ultimately cited for operating while intoxicated.
Emergency crews from the Wisconsin State Patrol, Black River Falls Fire Department and Black River Falls Ambulance also responded to the scene. No injuries were reported, but the crash left behind shattered glass, debris, and significant structural damage inside the business.
Authorities said the Flying J Travel Center was closed at the time of the crash, and no employees or customers were inside. The extent of the damage to the facility has not yet been fully assessed.
