Hobart, WI – Families in Hobart and surrounding Brown County communities are invited to kick off the holiday season tonight during a free Christmas event at the Hobart Fire Department. The gathering will feature hot cocoa, cookies with Santa, and a community food drive aimed at helping local families in need.

According to event organizers with the Hobart Volunteer Firefighter’s Association, the celebration runs Wednesday, December 10, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Hobart Fire Station 1, 2703 S Pine Tree Rd. Attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation or a monetary contribution to support area food assistance programs.

Donors will have the chance to enter a drawing for a themed holiday gift basket titled “Baking Spirits Bright,” which includes a $100 Meijer gift card, baking tools, seasonal treats, and festive accessories. The basket—wrapped in clear cellophane and topped with a white bow—will be awarded to one participant at the end of the event.

Santa will be available for photos and meet-and-greets, giving families an opportunity to enjoy a relaxed and festive evening complete with holiday music, treats, and activities. Organizers say the event is designed to bring residents together while supporting neighbors who may be facing food insecurity this season.

Residents across Hobart, Green Bay, and the greater Brown County area are invited to attend.
