Green Bay, WI – Wisconsin residents should prepare for a significant weather event as heavy rain and storms are expected to impact the region starting tonight and continuing through the end of the week. According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Green Bay, showers and embedded thunderstorms will begin late tonight, leading to periods of moderate to heavy rainfall from Thursday through Friday night. Localized flooding in urban and low-lying areas is possible, as the ground may struggle to absorb the intense precipitation.

The forecast for today predicts warm temperatures, with highs reaching the low 80s across most locations in northeast Wisconsin. While the day will begin with areas of fog, these will clear by late morning, giving way to increasing cloud cover in the afternoon. Rain is expected to hold off until tonight, when showers will begin to move into the area.

On Thursday, the weather is expected to take a turn, with an 80% chance of rain throughout the day. Temperatures will drop slightly, with highs around 72°F. The rainfall may intensify at times, particularly during the afternoon and evening hours, leading to concerns about localized flooding.

The rain will continue into Friday, with a 55% chance of showers and thunderstorms lingering into the evening. Highs will reach around 76°F, but the wet conditions will persist, making outdoor activities challenging.

As the weekend approaches, the weather is expected to improve, with Saturday and Sunday both forecasted to be partly cloudy and dry, with highs in the upper 70s. However, residents should remain vigilant as conditions may change rapidly, particularly in areas prone to flooding.
