Pueblo, CO – Winter weather continues to challenge travel across several mountain regions of Colorado, with advisories in effect until Wednesday morning. Snowfall, winds gusting up to 70 mph, and hazardous road conditions are expected throughout the Eastern San Juan, Sawatch, and Mosquito Mountain ranges.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for areas above 10,000 feet, including Wolf Creek Pass, Cumbres Pass, and the Leadville vicinity, with snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches. Additionally, gusts could reduce visibility and cause blowing snow, making travel conditions treacherous.

According to the National Weather Service, this advisory will remain in effect until 9 PM MDT today in the San Juan Mountains and surrounding regions, with some areas seeing snow through 6 AM Wednesday. Drivers are advised to use caution, as slick and snow-packed roads can lead to hazardous travel conditions.

Travelers are encouraged to check road conditions by calling 511 and allow extra time for their journeys. Snow accumulation and visibility could worsen throughout the day, particularly on mountain passes.
