Peachtree City, Ga. — Snow may lead to hazardous travel conditions across portions of central Georgia this morning, according to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.

Snow is expected south of the I-85 corridor, with accumulations of 1 to 3 inches anticipated in the yellow- and orange-shaded areas shown on the forecast map. The National Weather Service notes that hazardous driving conditions are possible, especially across the orange-shaded region.

A rain-to-snow transition is expected across central Georgia this morning. The main window for impactful snowfall is between 6 AM and 2 PM.

Travel impacts may be most pronounced along Interstates 16 and 75 south of Macon, where motorists should anticipate delays. Officials advise considering shifting travel to this afternoon or evening if possible.
