Portland, OR – A winter weather advisory remains in effect for parts of Oregon and Washington, with mixed precipitation, snow, and ice expected to impact travel conditions through Friday.
According to the National Weather Service, areas along the coast, Columbia River Gorge, and Cascade foothills could see up to an inch of snow and ice accumulations up to one-tenth of an inch. Higher elevations may receive up to a foot of snow. Winds could gust up to 60 mph in some regions.
Drivers are urged to use caution, as roads, bridges, and overpasses may become slick and hazardous. Power outages are possible due to ice accumulation. Residents should prepare with emergency supplies and monitor road conditions via state transportation websites.
