Colorado Springs, CO – A winter weather advisory is in effect for Colorado Springs and surrounding areas of El Paso County until noon on Saturday, April 19. Snow is expected to accumulate between 3 to 6 inches across the region, causing potentially hazardous travel conditions.
According to the National Weather Service, additional snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches are possible in the southern portions of El Paso County, including Colorado Springs and Peterson Space Force Base. Northern areas of the county, such as Black Forest, may see slightly heavier snowfall, with accumulations ranging from 4 to 6 inches.
Motorists are urged to slow down and exercise caution when driving. Slippery roads are expected throughout the impacted areas. Travelers can check current road conditions by calling 511 or visiting the Colorado Department of Transportation’s website.
