Binghamton, NY – The National Weather Service in Binghamton has continued a Winter Storm Watch for Northern Oneida County, in effect from late Tuesday night through Thursday morning (December 9–11, 2025).

Forecasters say heavy snow is possible, with 7 inches or more of accumulation expected, particularly across higher elevations near Boonville and the western Adirondack foothills.

The heaviest snowfall is likely from Wednesday morning through Wednesday night, leading to snow-covered roads, poor visibility, and difficult travel conditions during both the morning and evening commutes.

Snowfall may be wet and heavy at times, which could cause localized power outages or tree limb damage. The NWS advises residents to monitor forecast updates closely, as a Winter Storm Warning may be issued as the system approaches.

Travelers should prepare for hazardous road conditions, and allow extra time for travel during the height of the storm.
