Tucker County, WV – A powerful winter storm is bringing heavy snow and ice to Eastern Tucker County, impacting travel and causing potential power outages through early Thursday.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Pittsburgh, a Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 10 a.m. Tuesday until 4 a.m. Wednesday, with 5 to 7 inches of snow expected, along with a light glaze of ice. A Winter Storm Watchfollows from Wednesday afternoon through late Wednesday night, bringing a potential quarter-inch of ice accumulation.
Hazardous road conditions could make travel nearly impossible, especially during the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes. Ice buildup may lead to power outages and tree damage across the region.
