The National Weather Service cautions that road conditions will likely become slippery, with hazardous conditions potentially affecting the Monday morning commute. The warning includes the cities of Davis, Thomas, and Canaan Valley.
In nearby regions, including Garrett County, MD, and parts of Western West Virginia, snowfall could reach up to six inches in some areas. Freezing rain is expected to intensify late Sunday, continuing into Monday morning.
Residents are urged to delay non-essential travel and prepare for possible emergencies. The National Weather Service advises motorists to keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in their vehicles.
