Forsyth County, NC – A Winston-Salem man has been arrested on multiple felony firearm charges following an incident in which he allegedly fired at another vehicle earlier this month.

According to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO), deputies were called on October 18, 2025, after a report of gunfire that occurred three days earlier, on October 15. The victim told investigators he was driving in the 5600 block of Sandhill Drive in Winston-Salem when another man brandished a firearm and fired at his vehicle. No injuries were reported, and authorities said the suspect and victim are known to each other.

Investigators identified Devin Wayne Willard, 23, of Winston-Salem, as the alleged shooter. According to FCSO, Willard was arrested and charged with three felony counts of discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling or moving vehicle, one felony count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, and one felony count of possession of a firearm by a felon.

Willard is currently being held without bond at the Forsyth County Detention Center. He is scheduled for his first court appearance on October 24, 2025.
