Winnipeg, MB – Two people are facing trafficking charges after Winnipeg Police executed search warrants tied to a Guns & Gangs Unit investigation, uncovering hundreds of thousands of dollars in drugs, cash, and contraband cigarettes.

According to the Winnipeg Police Service, the investigation led to two separate searches in the West Kildonan and Garden City neighbourhoods. Officers seized more than $117,000 in drugs, $270,000 in illegal cigarettes, and over $21,000 in cash.

On November 9, 2025, a traffic stop in the 400 block of Jefferson Avenue resulted in a man and woman being taken into custody. Police say the driver was found with cocaine and proceeds of crime. The woman was released without charges at that time.

A search warrant later executed on Jefferson Avenue turned up approximately 685 grams of methamphetamine, 480 grams of cocaine, 271,000 illegal cigarettes, $15,000 cash, drug packaging materials, and a safe.

A second warrant on Teakwood Avenue led to the seizure of another 855 grams of methamphetamine, 400 illegal cigarettes, $4,210 cash, and drug trafficking materials.

A 37-year-old man faces multiple counts of trafficking cocaine, methamphetamine, possession of proceeds of crime, and trafficking in contraband tobacco. A 45-year-old woman faces similar drug trafficking and possession charges.

Both individuals were released on undertakings.
