According to the Winnipeg Police Service, officers responded around 12:43 p.m. on November 15, 2025, to reports of a serious collision involving a Dodge Ram 1500 and a pedestrian near the intersection of Selkirk Avenue and Salter Street.

Police said members of the North District General Patrol and Community Support units provided first aid until paramedics arrived. The victim was transported to hospital in critical condition but later succumbed to his injuries.
