Winnipeg, Manitoba – A 28-year-old man was arrested after police seized drugs, firearms, and cash from a Corydon Avenue residence, prompting multiple trafficking and weapons charges.

According to the Winnipeg Police Service, West District Community Support Unit officers began a firearms and drug investigation in early January 2026. The investigation allegedly led to the seizure of controlled substances, multiple firearms, and Canadian currency from a home in the 1000 block of Corydon Avenue.

On Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026, CSU officers, assisted by the North District CSU, Tactical Support Team, K9 unit, and Drone Unit, executed a search warrant at the residence and arrested the suspect.

Police reported seizing approximately 462 grams of cocaine, with an estimated street value of $46,000, along with 17 Xanax pills and 158 MDMA pills. Officers also recovered four CO2 handguns, a CO2 rifle, a machete, pepper spray, a functional stun gun or Taser, $1,300 in Canadian currency, and scales and packaging materials.

The 28-year-old man faces 12 charges related to drug trafficking and firearms offenses. Police allege the items were possessed for the purpose of trafficking and distribution. He was later released on an undertaking, according to authorities.

Corydon Avenue is a busy commercial and residential corridor, and enforcement activity in the area may draw attention from students and young service industry workers who frequent nearby businesses.

The investigation remains ongoing. Police have not released the accused’s name.
