Windsor County, VT – A Cavendish man is being held without release after sheriff’s deputies say he violated a court order and engaged in repeated criminal behavior across two southern Vermont towns.

According to the Windsor County Sheriff’s Department, Jordan P. Roberts, 32, of Cavendish, was arrested Wednesday evening following an investigation into alleged incidents that occurred over the past several weeks in Cavendish and Ludlow, located in Windsor County near the Rutland metro area.

According to authorities, deputies learned that Roberts had allegedly violated an abuse prevention order on two occasions, committed aggravated stalking, and interfered with access to emergency services. The sheriff’s department did not release additional details about the alleged victims or the specific nature of the incidents.

Deputies Black and McCabe, along with Sgt. Keefe, located Roberts around 7 p.m. Wednesday in the town of Ludlow, according to the department. He was taken into custody and transported to the Ludlow Police Department for processing.

Roberts was later transferred to the Southern State Correctional Facility, where he is currently being held on $10,000 cash or surety bail, authorities said.

Court records show Roberts has been cited to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on Thursday, December 19, at 12:30 p.m. Officials cautioned that court dates and times are subject to change at the discretion of the court.

The case remains under the jurisdiction of the Windsor County Sheriff’s Department. Anyone with additional information related to the investigation is encouraged to contact the department directly.
