Westminster, VT – A Westminster man was cited for reckless endangerment following an investigation into a late November shooting scare, according to the Windham County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say the incident happened on November 26, 2025, along Henwood Hill Road in Westminster. Authorities responded after receiving reports of a male firing a rifle in the direction of nearby field workers.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, investigators determined that 28-year-old Ethan R. Illingworth had allegedly been shooting the rifle, putting the workers in fear of serious bodily injury or death.
