Jacksonville, FL – A Cold Weather Advisory remains in effect for coastal northeast Florida, including Jacksonville, Palatka, and Green Cove Springs, from 1 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Jacksonville, wind chills could drop to 23°F, creating hazardous conditions for those without adequate protection.
Officials recommend wearing multiple layers, covering exposed skin, and ensuring pets have warm shelter. While temperatures will warm slightly by Friday afternoon, another night of cold weather is expected into Saturday morning.
