Las Vegas, NV – The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory and a Freeze Warning for portions of southern Nevada, southeast California, and northwest Arizona. The Wind Advisory is in effect from 5 p.m. Thursday through 11 p.m. Friday, while the Freeze Warning will take effect from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. Friday.

The advisory includes areas such as Death Valley National Park, the Owens Valley, and Lincoln County, with expected northwest winds of 20 to 35 mph and gusts up to 50 mph. This could lead to unsecured objects being blown around and possible power outages. Drivers, particularly those in high-profile vehicles, are urged to use caution.

The Freeze Warning covers the same regions and predicts sub-freezing temperatures as low as 28°F. Residents are encouraged to take precautions to protect sensitive plants and exposed plumbing.
