San Luis Obispo County, CA – The National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard has extended a Wind Advisory for the Santa Lucia Mountains, in effect until 10 a.m. PST Tuesday, December 9, 2025.
Northeast winds of 20 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 45 mph, are expected to continue overnight and into Tuesday morning, affecting areas including the Irish Hills, Hearst Castle, and other parts of the Central Coast range.
These winds could blow around unsecured outdoor objects, down tree limbs, and lead to isolated power outages. Drivers of high-profile vehicles should use extra caution on Highway 1 and surrounding mountain roads.
Winds are forecast to diminish by late Tuesday morning, but breezy conditions may persist into the afternoon.
