Medford, OR – The National Weather Service in Medford has continued a Wind Advisory for Lake County and eastern Klamath County, in effect from 7 p.m. Monday, December 8, until 10 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2025.
Forecasters expect southwest winds between 20 and 30 mph, with gusts reaching up to 50 mph across exposed areas, including the Winter Rim and Highway 31 corridor from Silver Lake to Valley Falls, as well as Summer Lake and Paisley.
The strong winds could blow around unsecured outdoor objects, make driving difficult for high-profile vehicles, and cause localized blowing dust or debris in open areas.
Residents and travelers are urged to secure loose belongings and use extra caution, especially when driving on east–west routes or near higher terrain.
The advisory will remain in effect until Tuesday night, when winds are expected to gradually diminish.
