Wilmington, OH – A weak weather system will bring light rain to portions of southern and central Ohio late this evening, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Most of the area will remain dry during the day, with highs in the mid-50s to around 60°F. By evening, rainfall chances will increase—especially along and south of Interstate 70, including the Cincinnati, Dayton, and Chillicothe areas.

Forecasters expect light rain showers to develop after sunset and continue overnight before tapering off early Sunday morning. Rainfall totals are expected to stay light, generally under a quarter inch.

By Sunday, dry and partly sunny conditions will return as high pressure builds over the region. Temperatures will moderate through next week, with highs climbing into the upper 50s and 60s by midweek.

Drivers heading out tonight should watch for damp roads and reduced visibility during light rain periods, though widespread impacts are not expected.
