Wilmington, OH – The National Weather Service in Wilmington says fall-like conditions will persist across Ohio this weekend, bringing cool afternoons and chilly overnight temperatures.

According to forecasters, Saturday highs will reach the upper 50s to low 60s under mostly cloudy skies, with cities like Cincinnati, Chillicothe, and Portsmouth expected to top out near 61–62°F. Areas farther north, including Dayton, Columbus, and Sidney, will stay slightly cooler, with highs near 56–58°F.

As night falls, temperatures will drop sharply into the 30s and lower 40s, with mid-30s expected around Columbus, Dayton, and Marysville. The NWS notes that the coolest spots—particularly in west-central Ohio—may see temperatures near the freezing mark, leading to patchy frost in sheltered rural areas by early Sunday morning.

Sunday is expected to bring continued cool, cloudy conditions, keeping temperatures below normal for late October.
