According to Delaware State Police, troopers were dispatched around 3:30 p.m. on November 14, 2025, after receiving reports of an armed robbery at La Oaxaqueña Grocery Store, located at 107 North Maryland Avenue. Preliminary findings indicate that two unidentified suspects entered the store and allegedly demanded money from an employee.

Investigators said one suspect pointed a handgun at customers and staff before losing balance and firing a single round. Fortunately, no one was injured. The pair reportedly stole cash, an employee’s personal belongings, and fled the scene in a dark-colored sedan.
