Troopers say the crash occurred at approximately 7:04 a.m. near mile marker 43 in Williams County. The 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling westbound when it entered the median and overcorrected, causing the vehicle to roll into the north ditch.
According to the Highway Patrol, fog was present at the time, though road conditions were dry. The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, sustained fatal injuries. He was transported by Ray Ambulance to CHI St. Alexius Hospital in Williston, where he was pronounced dead.
The Williams County Sheriff’s Office, Ray Ambulance, and Ray Fire Department also responded to the scene.
