Homer Township, IL – Drivers in Will County are facing detours today after a traffic crash shut down a key stretch of Cedar Road.
According to the Will County Sheriff’s Office, Cedar Road is currently closed between Route 6 and West Chicago Bloomington Trail in Homer Township. Deputies have advised drivers to avoid the area until further notice.
The closure, announced Monday afternoon, is expected to cause delays for commuters traveling through the southwest suburbs. Officials did not release details about the crash or whether there were injuries, but noted updates will be provided as information becomes available.
