Mokena, IL – Mokena police are investigating after thieves stole catalytic converters from 10 work trucks overnight. The thefts happened between 4:00 a.m. Saturday and 5:00 a.m. Sunday on the 9000 block of W. 192nd Street.
According to the Mokena Police Department, the suspects targeted multiple vehicles in the area. Catalytic converter thefts have increased due to the valuable metals inside, including platinum and rhodium.
Police urge anyone with surveillance footage or information to come forward. They encourage residents and business owners to secure vehicles and park in well-lit areas.

Authorities continue to investigate and warn residents to remain vigilant.
