Braidwood, IL – Severe storms on Monday night rendered Route 113 east of Braidwood nearly impassable due to numerous downed trees. The Braidwood Fire Department has urged residents to stay home while crews work to clear the debris.
The storm, which brought wind gusts exceeding 80 mph and heavy rainfall, caused extensive damage across the area. Emergency services are actively working to restore normal conditions, but delays are expected. Residents are advised to avoid the area and refrain from non-essential travel to ensure their safety and allow for efficient cleanup operations.
