University Park, IL – Residents in Will County were alerted Saturday after Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents conducted operations in University Park, resulting in two people being taken into custody.

According to the University Park Police Department, officers made contact with ICE agents earlier in the day to verify their intentions. Police confirmed the arrests occurred without incident, and ICE agents left the area shortly afterward.
