Will County is currently experiencing a significant outage affecting non-emergency phone lines, impacting residents and local law enforcement agencies.
According to Braidwood ESDA, the outage has rendered most non-emergency lines unusable. Residents are advised to use 911 for all police, fire, and EMS responses. For non-emergency matters, Braidwood residents can reach the police department through its administrative line at (815) 458-2342. Similarly, the Shorewood Police Department’s non-emergency line is down, with residents directed to call (815) 725-1460 for police services.
The Laraway Communications Center confirmed the widespread outage, noting that while non-emergency lines are affected, emergency services via 911 remain fully operational. They assured the public that updates on the situation will be provided as needed.
