Will County, IL – A fatal collision between a motorcycle and a school bus occurred Wednesday afternoon in Will County, specifically on the 24000 block of W. Shepley Road in Troy Township. Will County Sheriff’s deputies arrived at the scene around 3:17 PM following reports of the crash involving injuries.
The incident involved a motorcycle with two passengers hitting the back of a stopped school bus. Tragically, the male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The female passenger sustained serious injuries but was conscious when transported to a nearby hospital by Troy Fire personnel.
There were fifteen children on the bus at the time of the accident, none of whom were injured. They have been moved from the scene and reunited with their parents or caretakers. Deputies remain on-site, continuing their investigation into the crash.
