Will County, IL – A 35-year-old woman from Aurora, Illinois, was killed in a Friday night crash in Peotone, according to the Will County Coroner’s Office. Officials identified the victim as Tejaswi Patha, who was pronounced deceased at 9:50 p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025, following the collision.
According to Will County Coroner Laurie H. Summers, the crash occurred at the intersection of County Line Road and Illinois Route 50, involving a passenger vehicle and a semi-truck. Patha was reportedly a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the incident.
The Illinois State Police are investigating the cause of the crash. A post-mortem examination was performed on Saturday, October 18, 2025, and officials say the final cause and manner of death will be determined following additional toxicological and police reports.
Authorities have not yet released details about the driver or possible contributing factors in the collision. Route 50 traffic was reportedly affected in the area as emergency crews responded Friday night.
