According to the Plainfield Police Department, officers are investigating a crash on 143rd Street (Route 30) east of Wallin Drive. As of this morning, eastbound lanes on 143rd are closed to traffic.

Police advised motorists to avoid the area and seek alternate routes while the scene remains under investigation. The department did not immediately release information on injuries or how long the closure is expected to last.
