Wichita, KS – Warm and breezy Saturday weather continues across Kansas as temperatures climb into the mid-80s, but rain and storms are expected to return by the start of the new week, according to the US National Weather Service Wichita Kansas.
Forecasters say south winds will strengthen through the weekend, pushing warm, above-normal temperatures across central, south-central, and southeast Kansas. Highs will range from 83 to 88 degrees, with increasing clouds by Sunday evening.
Showers and thunderstorms are possible late Sunday night, with better chances arriving Monday, bringing cooler highs in the upper 60s to mid-70s. Scattered rain and storm activity could linger into Tuesday, particularly in central Kansas.
The Weather Service noted that while the weekend will stay mostly dry, residents should prepare for changing conditions early next week. No severe storms are currently expected, but gusty winds and brief downpours may impact travel or outdoor plans.
