Wichita, KS – Mild and dry conditions will continue across central, south-central, and southeast Kansas through the first half of the week before a shift toward wetter and potentially stormier weather arrives midweek. Temperatures will climb well above normal for mid-November, with a notable warmup by Monday.
According to the National Weather Service Wichita, today will remain sunny and seasonably mild, with afternoon highs ranging from 65° to 71° across the region. Overnight lows are expected to fall into the mid-40s to near 50°, keeping the start of Monday fairly comfortable.
A stronger warmup arrives Monday, when partly sunny skies allow temperatures to rise into the 69°–78° range. Areas south and west of Wichita may see the warmest readings, approaching the upper 70s. Monday night lows will settle between 41° and 56°, depending on location.
On Tuesday, clouds increase slightly but the mild pattern continues. Highs will vary from 62° to 75°, while lows fall into the upper 30s to low 50s. Most areas remain dry through the day.
Rain and storm chances return by Wednesday, with the first wave bringing a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs will remain warm in the 64°–72° range. A more organized system moves in Thursday, raising rain chances to 60% and bringing highs down slightly into the 59°–66° range.
The unsettled pattern lingers into Friday, with a 40% chance of rain as highs cool further into the 49°–61° range.
