Wichita, KS – Kansas residents can expect a gradual warming trend to continue through the end of the work week, with daytime highs pushing into the upper 80s, according to the National Weather Service Wichita.

Forecasters reported Tuesday that temperatures will range from the low 80s to near 90 degrees across central, south-central, and southeast Kansas. While there is a slim 10 percent chance of isolated showers Wednesday morning, conditions are expected to stay mostly dry through Friday.

According to the National Weather Service, highs Wednesday will reach between 82 and 86 degrees, with lows dipping into the upper 50s and low 60s overnight. By Thursday and Friday, afternoon temperatures are forecast to climb further, topping out between 85 and 89 degrees. Lows will trend warmer as well, hovering in the low to mid-60s.

Meteorologists noted that sunshine will dominate much of the period, providing dry weather favorable for outdoor activities and travel. The forecast signals a stable pattern, offering relief from recent unsettled conditions and keeping any rainfall chances minimal.

Residents are advised to prepare for slightly warmer afternoons as the week progresses, particularly those with outdoor work or events scheduled. The dry stretch should also help ease concerns about travel delays or storm-related disruptions heading into the first weekend of October.
