Wichita, KS – Residents across central and southern Kansas can expect a warm stretch of weather this week, with above-average temperatures continuing through Saturday and a few rounds of rain possible, according to the National Weather Service in Wichita.
Rain chances are mainly confined to Tuesday morning, followed by mostly sunny skies midweek. Temperatures will climb into the low to mid-80s on Wednesday, before breezy conditions develop Thursday.
According to the NWS, another system will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms beginning Thursday night and continuing into the weekend. Highs Friday and Saturday are forecast to range from the low 70s to mid-80s, with overnight lows dipping into the 50s by Saturday.
While the midweek stretch looks mostly dry, forecasters advise staying weather-aware later in the week as storm chances increase again heading into the weekend.
