Many fans opt to watch the game with friends rather than attending in-stadium, and as a result, the city sees increased traffic to the Strip.
Because of the increase in visitors filling rooms, hotels have pricing power and have previously increased rates by as much as 40%. Travel experts recommend booking accommodations months in advance for trips planned around major sporting events.
To reduce costs, visitors can seek accommodation off the Strip and make use of the public transport options to access major attractions on the Strip. Travelers should also anticipate rising auxiliary costs, such as higher parking rates, resort fees, and dining out.
