Topeka, KS – When do clocks fall back across Kansas this year? Residents in Wichita, Topeka, Kansas City, Overland Park, and Lawrence will turn their clocks back one hour at 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2025, as Daylight Saving Time officially ends across the Sunflower State.
According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, Kansas will return to Central Standard Time through early March 2026. The “fall back” gives residents an extra hour of sleep, but also means earlier sunsets and darker commutes starting next week.
In Wichita, sunset on Sunday will occur around 5:28 p.m., while in Topeka and Kansas City, dusk will fall closer to 5:10 p.m. Western areas of the state, including Dodge City and Garden City, will see sunset near 5:42 p.m.
Fire departments and emergency officials across Kansas remind residents to check smoke and carbon monoxide detectors while changing clocks—a twice-yearly safety reminder promoted nationwide.
Daylight Saving Time will resume on Sunday, March 8, 2026, when clocks “spring forward” by one hour again.
