Jefferson City, MO – When do clocks fall back across Missouri this year? Residents in St. Louis, Kansas City, Springfield, Columbia, and Branson will turn their clocks back one hour at 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2025, marking the official end of Daylight Saving Time across the Show-Me State.

According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, Missouri will return to Central Standard Time through early March 2026. The “fall back” gives residents an extra hour of sleep, but it also means shorter days and earlier sunsets as November begins.

In St. Louis, sunset on Sunday will occur around 4:57 p.m., while in Kansas City, dusk will fall closer to 5:10 p.m. In Springfield and southern parts of the state, the sun will set near 5:08 p.m. Drivers and evening commuters should prepare for darker travel times starting next week.

Fire departments across Missouri urge residents to use the time change as a reminder to check and replace smoke and carbon monoxide detector batteries—a simple step recommended every fall and spring.

Daylight Saving Time will resume on Sunday, March 8, 2026, when clocks “spring forward” one hour again.
