Olympia, WA – When do clocks fall back across Washington this year? Residents in Seattle, Spokane, Tacoma, Vancouver, and Bellevue will turn their clocks back one hour at 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2025, as Daylight Saving Time officially ends across the Evergreen State.
According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, Washington will return to Pacific Standard Time through early March 2026. The “fall back” provides an extra hour of sleep, but also signals earlier sunsets and darker evenings statewide.
In Seattle, sunset on Sunday will occur around 4:47 p.m., while in Spokane, dusk will arrive near 4:29 p.m. Coastal and southwestern areas like Vancouver will see sunset close to 4:51 p.m., and northern cities such as Bellingham will darken just after 4:43 p.m.
Fire departments and safety officials across Washington encourage residents to check and replace smoke and carbon monoxide detector batteries while adjusting clocks—a twice-yearly safety habit promoted nationwide.
Daylight Saving Time resumes on Sunday, March 8, 2026, when clocks “spring forward” one hour again.
