Salem, OR – When do clocks fall back across Oregon this year? Residents in Portland, Salem, Eugene, Bend, and Medford will turn their clocks back one hour at 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2025, as Daylight Saving Time officially ends across the Beaver State.
According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, most of Oregon will return to Pacific Standard Time, while the Malheur County region in the far east will switch to Mountain Standard Time. The “fall back” gives residents an extra hour of sleep, but also means shorter days and earlier sunsets statewide.
In Portland, sunset on Sunday will occur around 4:52 p.m., while in Eugene and Salem, dusk will arrive close to 4:56 p.m. Bend and Medford will see sunset near 4:54 p.m., with mountain regions experiencing darkness even earlier.
Fire officials across Oregon remind residents to check and replace smoke and carbon monoxide detector batteries while adjusting clocks—a twice-yearly safety practice encouraged nationwide.
Daylight Saving Time will resume on Sunday, March 8, 2026, when clocks “spring forward” one hour again.
