Harrisburg, PA – When do clocks fall back across Pennsylvania this year? Residents in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Harrisburg, Allentown, Erie, and Scranton will turn their clocks back one hour at 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2025, marking the official end of Daylight Saving Time.

According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, which regulates time observance nationwide, Pennsylvania will return to Eastern Standard Time through early March 2026. The “fall back” gives everyone an extra hour of sleep, but it also means sunset will arrive much earlier across the Keystone State.

In Philadelphia, sunset on Sunday is expected around 4:58 p.m., while Pittsburgh will see dusk by 5:15 p.m.. Commuters and evening travelers should prepare for darker drives home starting next week.

Fire departments and emergency officials also recommend using the time change as a reminder to replace smoke and carbon monoxide detector batteries—a twice-yearly safety tradition observed nationwide.

Daylight Saving Time returns on Sunday, March 8, 2026, when clocks “spring forward” one hour again.
