Madison, WI – When do clocks fall back across Wisconsin this year? Residents in Milwaukee, Madison, Green Bay, Kenosha, and Eau Claire will turn their clocks back one hour at 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2025, marking the official end of Daylight Saving Time across the Badger State.
According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, Wisconsin will return to Central Standard Time through early March 2026. The “fall back” gives residents an extra hour of sleep, but also brings earlier sunsets and shorter daylight hours heading into winter.
In Milwaukee, sunset on Sunday will occur around 4:42 p.m., while in Madison, dusk will arrive near 4:48 p.m. Northern areas like Green Bay will see sunset closer to 4:37 p.m., and Eau Claire will darken just after 4:50 p.m. Drivers and evening commuters are urged to plan for reduced visibility during rush hour.
Fire departments and safety officials across Wisconsin encourage residents to check smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and replace batteries during the time change—a safety tradition observed every fall and spring.
Daylight Saving Time will resume on Sunday, March 8, 2026, when clocks “spring forward” by one hour again.
