Tallahassee, FL – When do clocks fall back across Florida this year? Residents in Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville, and Pensacola will turn their clocks back one hour at 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2025, as Daylight Saving Time officially ends across the Sunshine State.

According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, most of Florida will return to Eastern Standard Time, while portions of the Panhandle, including Pensacola and Panama City, will shift to Central Standard Time. The “fall back” provides an extra hour of sleep, but it also means earlier sunsets and darker evenings across the state.

In Miami and Fort Lauderdale, sunset on Sunday will occur around 5:40 p.m., while in Tampa and Orlando, dusk will arrive near 5:47 p.m. Farther north, Jacksonville will see sunset around 5:46 p.m., and in the Panhandle, Pensacola will darken near 4:54 p.m. Central Time.

Fire departments and emergency officials across Florida are reminding residents to check smoke and carbon monoxide detectors while adjusting clocks—a twice-yearly safety routine that helps prevent household emergencies.

Daylight Saving Time resumes on Sunday, March 8, 2026, when clocks “spring forward” by one hour again.
